'Charles Rennie Mackintosh' Tea Towel

Sold Out

A natural colour tea towel with an illustration of Charles Rennine Mackintosh along with a couple of quotes from his work.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a Scottish architect, designer, water colourist and artist. He was a designer in the post impressionist movement and also the main representative of Art Nouveau in the United Kingdom. His most famous buildings include ‘The Glasgow School of Art’, Hill House and the building now known as ‘The Lighthouse’.

The text on the towel reads

"Art is the Flower. Life is the Green Leaf. Let every artist strive to make his flower a beautiful living thing, something that will convince the world that there may be, there are, things more precious more beautiful - more lasting than life itself.

There is beauty in honest error."

This 100% fair trade cotton tea towel has been carefully made in the UK and hand screen printed in Glasgow.

Tea Towel measures 78 x 51 cm.
